Well, I really like the class. More than anything in here though, I like all of the Ender's Game work that we do. We seem to have been getting less of it lately and it's upsetting me a little. I have a low F in the class right now because of the game stuff. I'm not really getting or understanding the steps and process of doing it. I've watched the instructional videos but they don't explain everything I need to know. I would really like to learn how to do all of this. In fact I would enjoy making games outside of class too if I ever figured it out. These days though, I really just want more Ender's Game work and I'm regretting doing the globaloria thing. I should have picked regular english work. Now, I'm probably hoing to fail English 11 and have to re take it in summer school. When I get the Ender's Game work, it's actually easy to do and I can get it done quickly.

Week 9 Blog 1
I chose this picture because it's similar to what I want my game to be, I just want something simple and easy to create for the time being. Until I actually learn about this stuff and can use it creatively then I want this for now. My game will be similar, I'll just have a few steps to hop up and then I'll battle the evil boss monster. Once you defeat the monster, you've won the game. So, that's it for now...

What I did over Spring Break...
Over spring break I didn't do much of anything really. I'll try my hardest to explain it using two-hundred words though. Alright, well first things first! My Spring Break didn't start on Saturday, it was Friday. I was very happy that day because mom didn't make me go. I got up feeling sick and really didn't want to go anywhere that day. When I told mom, she said "Alright just stay home today." I didn't think anything of it. It was the last day after all. So that day I lay in bed until night time. Then I played some Final Fantasy 12! Saturday, I had to go to my grand dad's house. It was boring because there's nothing fun to do there. I took my Play Station 3 and played that. It was enjoyable soon after I began playing that. On Sunday I walked home from Hernshaw to Chelyan. Why? That's how bored that I was. I'm unsure of what time that I got home that day...it was night, that's all I know. I went to bed and crashed as soon as I got home that night. On Monday I woke up around noon I think. I went back to playing Final Fantasy 12 and stayed on that most if not all day. Tuesday, I went to my friend's house in Belle. I helped him cut the grass around his house. The guy he lives with owns about 2 or 3 huge yards. We really had our work cut out for us, but it was worth it. I was paid $50 that day. After we finished up I hung out with Alex the rest of the day. I went back home later that night then crashed soon after. Wednesday, I decided to ride the KRT bus into Glasgow and pay my friends Triston and Taylor a visit. We hung out all day, walking around town, being random. We all camped in the woods that night. We all got up in the early afternoon Thursday. Taylor and Triston went back home and I rode the KRT back to mine. It didn't even really even take me to my house; I had to walk across the bridge then through town to get home. After getting back I played that same game that I've been playing again until dark. The next day, Friday I decided to end my weekend with a deep sleep so I'd be ready for Monday's hell. I didn't really get back out of bed to do anything except eat and do my business. It played off too, I woke up Monday feeling' ready for anything!

Week 6 Blog 1
1. He's not allowed to become close to people because Graff wants Ender to be self dependent and not soley rely on others. Ironically Graff expects him to lead and be cooperative which in turn requires trust and a bond. He thinks that Ender will slack off and that he won't be as much of a great soldier if he depends on others.
2.They give Ender an army to see how effectively he can lead others and to give him a feel for what he's destined to do one day. Ender is 10 now, they really do think he's some kind of prodigy.
3. Ender gave Bean special treatment, making him seem better than the rest of the army. Graff had done the same to Ender when they were on the bus with the launchies. Ever since that first day, Ender's had to earn anything good that came to him. By doing this to bean, he made made everyone jealous of little bean. So, he had to work hard and reach his potentially to prove to everyone and himself that he was the best.

Week 5 Blog 1
The team I have joined is The Ninja Ducks. Chris Wilson is the leader and Chris Harless and I are team mates. We have not really done much yet but we are working on it. We plan on creating an action game. A game with challenging, yet silly trivia that most people can but won't really get. What are we looking forward to? Just making a game in general I suppose. We don't have roles yet either but we will soon.

Week 4 Blog 2
I'm excited about making a game! Why? Well who wouldn't be? I mean how many people can actually say that they can make games. Actually...probably a lot of people. I'll rephrase the question then. Okay, how many people from West Virginia can say they know how to make games? Not a whole lot! Anyway I think it'll be fun and that it'll be a great experience. Hopefully if I can learn this stuff, it'll just be one more thing that I know that my friends don't. I think it’s pretty cool to learn html coding. All in all with the supposed teams were going to have later on; I believe we can create a kick butt game.

Week 4 Blog 1
I play a lot of games in my free time, or rather I used to...now I usually don't have as much time anymore. I'm already in school from 6:00 a.m until 2:45 p.m and soon I might have a job. If I get a job, then I'll be working from 5:00 p.m until 10:00 p.m and even then I'll still need to catch a city bus back home. Once I get back it's time for bed. Although I normally have loads of time to waste on the weekends, for now. The games I normally play are of an action or adventure genre. They are usually games of a series. I seriously hate endings; I always crave more of things that I like. For example, I play the Final Fantasy series. All are fun to me; they are fun and sometimes challenging. There's a new adventure in all of them. Every Final Fantasy has an eventual puzzler, something confusing that you have to solve. It's actually very fun to go through and crack the small little mysteries. I also play them because it basically never dies, for example the game ends but there's always a part 2 then 3 and so on. To this day Final Fantasy still hasn't died. There are 13 in the series, not including the ones like Final Fantasy 7. It begins with Final Fantasy 7: Before Crisis, then you have Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core, Then Final Fantasy 7, and then Final Fantasy 7: Dirge of Cerberus. There's even a movie, Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children. Some of the Final Fantasies actually drag on and on like that, but I love it! I also love playing any game that's fun, or strategic based. The whole topic of globaloria really hasn't changed my perspective on games at all.

- Most Effective Game...
The game was “Tempest in Crescent City”
The girl in the story was suffering from her mother’s death in the flood in Katrina.
You can learn about the town, one of the schools there, and the environment and people.
It is an adventure game. I think it was a good choice. Why? Because it just was, makes the game awesome.
I think the game looked amazing for a 2d game.
There’s no tutorial on how the controls work but then again it’s not exactly hard to figure out.
If I could change the game, I would make the girl run faster.
I would like to learn how to create a game.
Least Effective Game...
It goes into the Veterinarian career.
It explains how to take care of a dog, a cat, and a chinchilla.
It’s a Questionnaire game. I think it was a great choice for an educational game. It was especially since I’m going to a technical school later on in life. I’m going there to learn agriscience. Then I’m going into another field that will allow me to be a vet assistant. I’ll be dealing with people and animals a lot.
The graphics are at an “okay” level but I think the creator could’ve done better
It was very easy to play. You just click on an item on the screen and it tells you what to do step by step.
Well, I think the creator should add more trivia to the game and cover more animals.
I would like to learn the same thing I put down for the first game genre question.

My 1st post
My name's Brandon, I go to Riverside High. I'm a junior, I'm a quiet keep to them self type of person. Usually a calm and prompt worker. In this class I'm just trying to learn what I'm required to, then get all of my assignments done as quickly as possible because otherwise I usually get overrun with work that I'll have lots of trouble getting done later. I just like to keep things simple and to the point. I'm not expecting too much from this class, just to learn how to create 2D flash games as I'm supposed too then pass the class with the skills given to me.
